1 cup cashews, soaked overnight

1 pound cavatappi pasta

½ teaspoon mustard powder

1 cup nutritional yeast

1 teaspoon onion powder

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika

1 cup Califia Farms Oatmilk

1/4th cup pasta water Salt and pepper to taste

1 tablespoon olive oil

Top with toasty Panko breadcrumbs (optional)


Soak your cashews overnight (or boil them day of). Begin by making your cheese sauce. Heat a pot with a drizzle of olive oil and bloom your spices: onion, garlic, paprika, salt, pepper and nutritional yeast for about 2-3 minutes on low heat.

Next, add your oat milk and stir until everything is smooth and dissolved.

Transfer your cheese sauce to a blender with the soaked cashews until a creamy cheese sauce is formed. Toss over your favorite pasta, with a dash of pasta water, salt to taste and top with breadcrumbs!
