Plant-Based Sugar Cookies by Maya's Cookies

This amazing sugar cookie recipe from Maya Madsen of Maya's Cookies is the base recipe for some of her top-selling cookies.


1/2 cup Califia Farms Butter with Olive Oil

3/4 cup Granulated Sugar

1/2 teaspoon Vanilla Extract

1 1/2 teaspoons Ener-G Brand Egg Replacer Powder plus 1/4 cup water

1 3/4 cups Unbleached Flour

1/2 teaspoon Baking Soda

1/4 teaspoon Salt



Combine butter, sugar and vanilla in a bowl and mix until creamy.

In a separate bowl, combine Ener-G brand egg replacer and water, using a whisk. Mix until combined.

Add the egg replacer mixture to the creamed butter, sugar, and vanilla and mix until combined. 

Add the flour, baking soda and salt and gently blend until a smooth but thick batter is formed.

Cover the dough and refrigerate for approximately 30 minutes.

Using a cookie scoop, place the scooped dough 2 inches apart on a parchment paper lined cookie sheet.

Bake for approximately 12 minutes. Remove from oven - Let cookies cool and enjoy!

PRO TIP: Dip the dough balls in sprinkles or cinnamon before baking or Frost the cooled cookies then top with sprinkles
