Ingredients

1 ¼ cups all purpose flour

3 tablespoons powdered sugar

1 stick salted vegan butter, melted

¾ teaspoon vanilla extract

4-5 firm, tart apples

2-3 tablespoons granulated sugar

½ teaspoon ground cinnamon

¼ teaspoon ground nutmeg

3 tablespoons salted vegan butter, cubed

For the whipped topping:

1 cup Califia Farms Heavy Whip

½ teaspoon ground cinnamon

2-3 tablespoons powdered sugar

Directions
01
Heat oven to 400°F. Place a large bowl in the freezer.
02
Whisk together the flour and powdered sugar in a large bowl until well combined. Pour in the melted vegan butter and vanilla and mix until a clump of dough forms. Transfer the dough to a 9-inch tart pan with a removable bottom, and evenly press the dough along the bottom and up the sides of the pan.
03
For the filling, slice the cheeks off of the apples into four pieces. Thinly slice each of those pieces, making sure to hold the pieces tightly so they stay together. Arrange the sliced apples in the tart crust in any fashion, just make sure they fit snugly. Quickly mix the granulated sugar, nutmeg, and cinnamon together in a small bowl, then sprinkle evenly over the top of the apples. Scatter the cubed butter over the top.
04
Place the tart on a large baking sheet on the bottom rack of the oven and bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the filling is bubbling and the apples have become tender.
05
While the tart is cooling, make the whipped topping. Add the ingredients in the order listed to the chilled bowl from the freezer. Whip by hand or with an electric mixer until soft peaks form. Store in the fridge until ready to use.
06
Serve warm or at room temperature with a dollop of cinnamon whipped topping. Enjoy!
